Step 1: While you read one of the infographics, use the main idea and supporting details graphic organizer to help you identify important information from the text.
This will help you write your information paragraph. You won’t be able to include all the information from the infographic so you’ll need to determine what’s important – that means, selecting the most significant details which do the best job of supporting your main idea.
Step 2: Using the ideas from your graphic organizer and the criteria checklist, write an information paragraph that communicates the main idea and supporting details from the infographic you chose to read.
